My name is Peter, and I’m the photographer. By trade I’m an architect technician, which is where my love of art and design began. It might be surprising, but designing buildings (and sometimes roads and other infrastructure, which I’ve also worked on) involves a lot of artistic decision‑making.

I moved to the UK in 2013. That move interrupted my original career path, but fortunately I’d already developed a passion for photography. For a long time that passion lived at an amateur level because of limited free time and funding. Emigrating to England gave me the opportunity — time and resources — to invest in what I truly enjoy.

I photograph a wide range of subjects, from landscapes to products, but I’m most passionate about people. I have about 15 years of experience in portraiture (individuals, couples, families — and yes, even pets) and around 5 years’ experience in product photography. I also enjoy shooting landscapes, cityscapes, macro, abstract work, and more.

I started photographing for fun, all on my own — a curious tinkerer with a camera and a stubborn appetite for trial and error — teaching myself by doing until mistakes became lessons. Hungry for craft, I then dived into online courses and books to deepen my understanding, unpacking the hows and whys behind what had once been instinct. Gradually I learned the language of light, the rules and playful exceptions of composition, the emotional power of colour and the nuance of posing, alongside a host of other subjects that turned hobby into practice and practice into a purpose-driven obsession.

I adore the conversations that spark during a shoot — those spontaneous chats, the belly laughs and silly anecdotes that turn strangers into collaborators — because it’s in that playful exchange that genuine moments bloom and my work comes alive. Every session feels like a tiny theatre where personalities shine, and I’m driven by the thrill of coaxing authentic smiles, awkward grins and unforgettable expressions out of genuine connection. I’m equally obsessed with colour and light: the way a mischievous splash of colour can change the mood, how soft golden light flatters a cheek or how neon hues can make a portrait sing. Combining warm human interaction with adventurous use of colour and light is what keeps me excited, curious and grateful every time the camera comes out.

My wife has become my indispensable little sidekick on outdoor shoots — the one who’ll dash through muddy fields to pop up a reflector, hold a sneaky off-camera flash at just the right angle, or bravely wrestle a wind-happy softbox. She does it with a grin and a pragmatic twinkle, turning the fiddly, technical bits of lighting into a small, collaborative dance that somehow makes the images — and the whole day — feel more joyful. I appreciate her patience, her uncanny knack for knowing when to step in without being asked, and the way she somehow manages to make carrying heavy kit look like a casual stroll; every successful frame owes a little credit to her quiet competence and cheerful willingness to help.

We absolutely adore photographing people — the laughs, the little odd moments, the big genuine grins — and every shoot with us feels like a friendly, slightly mischievous hangout where great pictures are the happy side-effect. We like to think we’re a lot of fun to be around: quick with a silly prompt, ready to swap a joke, and always keen to coax out those unguarded smiles. Whether it’s a family session, portraits, newborn or maternity session, we bring playful energy, warm encouragement and a willingness to laugh with you — because the best photos happen when everyone’s having a brilliant time.
