Before any photographs are taken, we have a relaxed conversation — in person or electronically — to talk through timing, preferences, and any specific needs your family may have. We discuss simple styling ideas, colours, and how you would like to be included in the images, if at all. Planning remains flexible, as newborn sessions are always guided by the baby’s schedule rather than a strict timetable.
The Heart of Your Session
Newborn sessions are calm, patient, and entirely baby-led. There is no rushing and no expectation for your child to behave in any particular way. Time is always allowed for feeding, changing, soothing, and settling, and regular breaks are welcomed whenever needed. Cleanliness, gentle handling, and comfort are always prioritised so both baby and parents can relax into the experience.
The environment remains quiet and warm, with soft guidance used only when appropriate. The intention is to create a peaceful atmosphere where natural moments can unfold — a yawn, a stretch, a tiny hand wrapped around a finger — the small details that parents often wish they could freeze in time.
Where It All Comes Together
As the session gently concludes, we take time — often the same day when possible — to look through a thoughtfully pre-curated selection of images together. A private online gallery will then be available for you to revisit at your own pace and make selections whenever it feels convenient. Final edited photographs are typically delivered within about a week, leaving you with images that feel soft, natural, and deeply personal — photographs that preserve the first days of your child’s life and the beginning of a story you will return to with warmth for years to come
